Congratulations to Barack Hussein Obama, the 44th President of the United States of America. I, like so many others, never thought I would see this historic event so early in my life. I never thought two key Southern states would have given their Electoral votes to a democrat, let alone a black man. I look forward to the next four years, to progress and to the positive changes the United States needs. Thank you, Mr. Obama, and godspeed.
Ps. Michelle, I love the outfit you were wearing this morning!

I'm watching it right now!
You know, I don' want to take away from this event, but her suit really was fabulous! And the girls looked so pretty too!
Cute photo :) And yes, she looked great today. The green/yellow outfit. It's refreshing to see younger people in office. Not that clothing has anything to do with performance, but you know. It's still nice to look up there and see people that don't remind me of my great-grandparents.
I agree, Emily. Seeing George HW and Barbara Bush today, sure they looked cute in their matching purple scarves, but it was hard to see him as a former president. He looked more like my garndparents.
Politicians are supposed to represent me to the best of their abilities with my interest in mind. How can they do that adequately if they are two generations ahead of me?
Well said Meg. The times they are a changin'.
